Fitness isn’t merely for lifting heavy weights or running marathons; fitness is for everybody irrespective of age or fitness level. Taking care of one’s body is about keeping it healthy and strong.
Ultimately, fitness means really being able to appreciate every activity that is loved without having to balance that activity with being fit-for example, playing with your kids, taking a leisure walk or even just going up the stairs without being out of breath. It may be about the feel good factor and having the energy to engage life to the fullest.
Fitness is about mind and body. It comprises:
Physical health: Strength, flexibility, and endurance define physical health. Walking, cycling, doing yoga-these kinds of pursuits can improve this quality, strengthening your heart, lungs, and muscles.
Mental Health: Fitness doesn’t define exercise only but also building care for the mind. It releases certain chemicals in the brain that elevates the mood, reduces stress, and makes sleep better. Healthy Minds also matter as much as healthy bodies!
Nutritional: Balanced meals are like the fuel for the engine that keeps your body healthy and active. Nutrition takes an incredible stand in fitness, supporting your muscles, bones, and overall wellness. Fitness occurs in everybody.
Fitness is something very personal and it is very subjective. It isn’t the same for all. While some may focus on lifting weights, others may pay attention to some distance running. Few others may find dancing or hiking their form of fitness. The secret is to discover activities you enjoy that make you feel good.
Not about toughing it out; it’s about being balanced and consistent. It’s about making little healthy choices every day and over time that build up.
Basically fitness refers to an internal mind and body fitness that prolongs life while eventually giving it some happiness and fulfillment.
